Is the free version a cut-down signal?
No. The detection is identical. A free alert carries the same price movement, the same list of bookmakers still showing the earlier price, and the same Selection rating as a Pro alert. Nothing about the signal is held back for paying subscribers. The difference is how many meetings you see and whether the alert is personalised to you.
Is there a free trial?
There is no trial, because there is nothing to trial. The free channel is the product running in public every day, permanently. If you subscribe to Pro and later cancel, you keep the free channel rather than losing access altogether.
What is the cheapest way to track steam in UK racing?
Free market-mover pages from the large odds-comparison sites will show you moves that have already finished, refreshed through the day, at no cost.
